If you would rather choose and edit your shots before anything is printed, a printer makes more sense than a camera. The instax mini Link+ is its own model — a separate SKU from the mini Link 2 and the mini Link 3 — finished in black with an orange accent and connecting to your phone over Bluetooth 5.1. It prints onto instax mini film, which is sold separately.

318 dpi output, 256-colour gradation
Printing resolution is 12.5 dots/mm (318 dpi, 80 μm dot pitch) with RGB gradation of 256 colours, onto the same 62 mm x 46 mm print size a mini camera produces. Fujifilm rates transmission to the start of printing at approximately 15 seconds.
Several print modes in the app
Working with the instax mini Link smartphone app, Simple Print sends images straight from your camera roll or Pinterest pins; Design Print holds fine detail in text and graphics; Simulation Mode previews placement before you commit; Multiple Print queues up to 10 pre-selected images in one step; Collage Print gathers several images onto a single instax mini print.
Video frames and decorated prints
Video Print pulls a single frame out of a clip, which helps when the moment never held still for a photo. Frame Print adds frames, stickers and text captions. There is also remote shooting, plus instaxAiR Studio for adding 3D augmented reality effects before taking a photo. The app offers both light and dark interface modes.
Built-in battery, around 100 prints
An internal lithium-ion battery is rated for approximately 100 prints from a full charge, depending on usage conditions, and recharges in about 1.5 to 2 hours. At 240 g excluding the film cartridge, it travels easily in a bag.
