Most comparisons tell you the QN70F is entry, the QN80F is mid and the QN85F is premium — which is just the model numbers read back to you. The useful answer is different: which one is right depends almost entirely on what size you are buying, because the price relationships change completely between 55 and 65 inch.

⚠ At 55 inch: buy the QN85F
QN70F HK$4,980 · QN80F HK$5,980 · QN85F HK$6,280.
The whole range fits inside HK$1,300. And the QN85F 55" is the only one of the three with a 144Hz panel — the QN70F and QN80F are 120Hz.
So at 55 inch the decision is unusually easy. HK$1,300 buys you 144Hz instead of 120Hz, Wi-Fi 6E instead of Wi-Fi 5, and the solar-charging SolarCell remote. If you are buying a 55-inch Neo QLED and you have HK$6,280, buy the top one — there is no meaningful saving in going down.

⚠ At 65 inch: the QN70F, and here is why
QN70F HK$5,980 · QN80F HK$11,980 · QN85F — there is no 65-inch QN85F.
⚠ The QN80F costs exactly double the QN70F at this size. That is a completely different question from 55 inch, and it is the size most Hong Kong living rooms actually buy.
The QN70F 65" at HK$5,980 already gives you the Neo QLED Mini LED panel, 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, FreeSync Premium Pro, Game Bar and four HDMI ports. For most families that is the whole requirement, and the HK$6,000 saved is better spent on a soundbar and installation than on moving up a tier.
Go to the QN80F 65" if your room is genuinely bright and you want the extra brightness and processing headroom, or you want Wi-Fi 6E and the SmartThings Hub. Not because it is "the balanced choice" — because your room needs it.

At 75 and 85 inch: the gaps get real

At these sizes the QN70F-to-QN85F gap is HK$10,000 at 75 inch and HK$14,000 at 85 inch — so the decision genuinely matters, unlike at 55.
The case for the QN85F: 144Hz, four HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 3.0, VESA 300×300, the SolarCell remote, and Samsung's stated seven years of system and security updates. On a screen you will keep for a decade, that last point is not nothing.
The case for the QN70F at these sizes: it is HK$10,000 cheaper at 75 inch. If the room is not especially bright and you do not game at 120fps, that money buys a very good soundbar and professional wall installation with a lot left over.
Going above 85 inch? Only the QN80F

⚠ Before ordering 100 inch, check the delivery route — lift dimensions, corridor width, doorway clearance and whether the loading bay needs booking. At this size that decides the purchase more often than the wall does.

⚠ Two things worth pulling out of that table.
First: the processor is the same on all three. Every one publishes NQ4 AI Gen2. If you assumed the higher model number bought you a better chip, it does not — the differences are in the panel, the refresh rate and the connectivity.
Second: the QN70F's HDMI ports. Our QN70F pages list four HDMI ports but do not state HDMI 2.1, while the QN80F and QN85F pages state it explicitly. We would rather tell you that than assume. Which one for gaming?
If you play at 120fps or above: the QN85F — it is the only one of the three with a 144Hz panel, and its HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC are stated on the page.
At 55 inch that costs HK$1,300 more than the QN70F, which makes it close to a formality. At 75 inch it costs HK$10,000 more, which makes it a real decision.

Which one for sport?
For Premier League, NBA, F1 and the World Cup in a bright Hong Kong flat, what matters is brightness and reflection control, not refresh rate — a daytime match with a window behind the sofa is the hardest thing any television does.
All three are Mini LED, which is the right technology for this. The higher tiers push brighter, so if your living room has a large west-facing window, the QN80F or QN85F earns its money; if the room is reasonably controlled, the QN70F will not disappoint you. See sports TVs.
Which one for films?
Mini LED handles dark scenes well, but if films in a dark room are your priority, the honest answer is that OLED does it better — perfect blacks rather than very good ones.

What is the actual difference between the QN70F, QN80F and QN85F?
The clearest published difference is refresh rate: the QN85F is 144Hz, the other two are 120Hz. The QN80F and QN85F also have Wi-Fi 6E (the QN70F has Wi-Fi 5), state HDMI 2.1 with eARC, and include the SolarCell solar remote. All three use the same NQ4 AI Gen2 processor — the model number does not buy you a better chip.
Which is best for PS5?
The QN85F if you want 120fps or higher — it is the only 144Hz panel of the three. For 60fps console gaming all three have VRR, ALLM and Game Bar and the QN70F is entirely adequate.
Is the QN85F worth the extra money?
At 55 inch, almost certainly — it is only HK$1,300 more than the QN70F. At 75 inch it is HK$10,000 more and at 85 inch HK$14,000 more, so at those sizes it depends on whether you game at high frame rates or have a very bright room.
