OLED picture, processing and care
OLED pixels emit their own light and can switch off in dark areas, without an LCD backlight. Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG are useful when your content and player or app supply the format. Alpha 11’s upscaling and tone mapping process the available source; they do not reconstruct detail absent from a low-quality stream or guarantee a particular brightness in every room. Reflections and picture settings still matter.
Long periods of static logos, game HUDs or signage create image-retention risk. Follow LG’s panel-care instructions and do not treat mixed viewing or protective functions as a burn-in guarantee. Built-in Dolby Atmos and AI virtual sound are not physical overhead speakers. WOW Orchestra requires compatible external equipment; it is not universal Sound Bar support.

The reference panel is native 120Hz, with VRR up to 165Hz. The 165Hz ceiling requires a compatible PC/input and is not the native panel rate or a guarantee from every console game.4K120 requires a supported game, source, cable and settings. A published0.1ms pixel response is not television input lag. A Sound Bar on HDMI 2 eARC occupies one input; count consoles, a disc player and a set-top box before planning connections. QMS does not guarantee that every source change avoids a black screen.
webOS 26 app, AI/voice and upgrade availability depends on the regional model and service. Accounts, internet access and subscriptions may be required. The Australian PSB references list DVB-T2/T and DVB-C, not Hong Kong DTMB: confirm the actual supplied tuner or your external reception arrangement.
