The short answer
The M80H is the Samsung 2026 Mini LED that actually games — a native 100Hz panel with 144Hz VRR, and 4K 144Hz on all three HDMI ports. Across all four sizes — 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches — the gaming specification is identical, so buying the smaller one costs you nothing in capability.
If your television will be connected to a PS5, an Xbox Series X or a gaming PC, the M80H is the cheapest way into Samsung Mini LED that can actually use them. If you do not game, the M75H saves you money — the direct comparison is below.
M80H versus M75H
This is the question we get most. Both are Mini LED; the difference concentrates in one place: gaming.

In short: HK$1,500 at 65 inches buys gaming capability and a better processor. If the set is only for drama, streaming and sport, that money is better spent on a soundbar — our M75H review goes through the reasoning.
A counterintuitive finding: Neo QLED does not mean better for gaming
Many buyers assume "Neo QLED" is the premium line, so it must out-game something merely called "Mini LED". The official specification sheets say the opposite:

The QN70H is officially listed at "50 Hz" with DLG 120Hz, and its HDMI high-frame-rate row reads 4K 60Hz — the same tier as the M75H, at a higher price than the M80H.
So when buying for gaming, ignore the range name and read the "HDMI (High Frame Rate)" row on the official specification sheet. "HDMI 2.1" printed on the box does not settle it either — that is an interface version, not a bandwidth guarantee.

Choosing between the four sizes

Those distances are the 40°–30° horizontal viewing angle band, the cinema-style immersive range; anywhere between is reasonable. Measure before choosing, and if you are torn between two sizes take the larger one.
What differs between the sizes
The gaming specification is identical across all four. Mounting and weight are not:

Note that the 75 and 85-inch use VESA 400 × 300 rather than the 200 × 200 of the 55 and 65-inch — do not buy the wrong bracket. The 85-inch panel alone is 28.5 kg, so wall mounting needs professional installation.
And in fairness on price: at 85 inches the QN70F Neo QLED sells for HK$15,980, HK$2,000 less than the M80H. If your 85-inch will not be used for gaming it is worth comparing — but their gaming specifications differ, so ask us to check the rows you care about before ordering.
Picture: what the extra HK$1,500 buys
Processor — the NQ4 AI Gen2 is a class above the M75H's Mini LED Processor 4K. The difference shows most on older material and compressed streams, where 4K AI Upscaling and Auto HDR Remastering do visible work.
Real Depth Enhancer — processes subject and background separately so the subject reads as more three-dimensional. The M75H does not have it.
Color Booster Pro — a step above the M75H's Pure Spectrum Colour with Colour Booster.
Dark scenes — to be straight: the M80H is still a mid-range Mini LED, not a flagship, so bright objects in fully dark scenes still show some blooming. Real Depth Enhancer helps the impression but does not turn it into an OLED. For reference black, you want OLED.
No Dolby Vision — Samsung does not support it across the range, using HDR10+ instead. Both formats are carried by the major services in Hong Kong.
Gaming: what you actually have to switch on
Capability is not the same as being enabled out of the box. First three things after delivery:
- Enable Input Signal Plus — Settings → Connection (or General) → External Device Manager → Input Signal Plus, and switch it on for each HDMI port individually. Without it there is no 4K 144Hz.
- Use an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable — 4K above 120Hz needs the 48Gbps grade. An older cable produces 1080p or a black screen.
- Confirm ALLM and VRR are active — the M80H officially supports ALLM (auto low latency) and VRR with FreeSync Premium, so game mode should engage automatically.
A word on the DLG 240Hz figure: DLG is Dual Line Gate, trading vertical resolution for frame rate, and it only applies to 1080p / 2K signals. So the M80H can run very high frame rates in 1080p competitive titles, while 4K is a genuine 144Hz. The two numbers describe different things and should not be added together.
Sound: still budget for a soundbar
20W across two channels with OTS Lite, improved over the price class by Active Voice Amplifier (which lifts dialogue when the room is noisy) and Adaptive Sound+. Fine for news and drama; short of bass for films and gaming.
The M80H supports Q-Symphony, so a Samsung soundbar plays alongside the television's own speakers rather than muting them, widening the soundstage. For lossless Dolby Atmos, use the eARC HDMI port.
Note that soundbars carry a 30-day repair warranty, different from the television terms below.
Hong Kong reception, stated plainly
Hong Kong local-version specification sheets list DTMB (the Hong Kong broadcast standard); international-version sheets list DVB-T2. They are different, and this is the one genuine difference between a local-version and an international-version set.
We have tested this model receiving local free-to-air channels in Hong Kong, and our technician tunes the channels during installation. However, if the aerial signal in your building is weak, or you rely on an aerial rather than streaming for local channels, please contact us before installation so we can confirm your situation before you order.
If you already watch through a set-top box or streaming, none of this affects you — those routes do not depend on the set's tuner.
Warranty: what is and is not covered
International-version televisions carry 10-day exchange plus a 3-year on-site warranty, provided by our own local technician team — no manufacturer service centre, no shipping the set anywhere yourself.
The 3-year on-site warranty covers: on-site inspection and fault diagnosis; labour, unlimited visits within three years; and for wall-mounted sets, removal from and reinstallation onto the bracket.
It does not cover: parts (quoted first, work proceeds only after you confirm); accidental or user-caused damage (impact, drops, water, power faults, self-repair); and some outlying islands.
10-day exchange: for products with installation, the period runs from the day installation is completed; faults must be verified by our technician; you may change model when exchanging (paying or receiving the difference); reinstallation after an exchange is free; one claim per product. Normal marks from testing or installation do not affect eligibility.
Screen issues split into two: cracks, breakage or distorted display found on unboxing are a straight one-for-one replacement with no quantity threshold; LCD dead or bright pixels require five or more in total, verified by our technician.
On-site coverage: normal service on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories; Discovery Bay and Ma Wan are included; Cheung Chau and Lamma have no on-site service, but a set returned to our Kwun Tong premises is still inspected and repaired free of charge. - 85-inch buyers who do not game — the QN70F at the same size is HK$2,000 less and worth comparing

Does the M80H really do 4K 144Hz for gaming?
Yes. The official specification's "HDMI (High Frame Rate)" row reads 4K 144 Hz for HDMI 1, 2 and 3, on a native 100Hz panel supporting 144Hz VRR, with ALLM and FreeSync Premium. All four sizes (55, 65, 75 and 85 inches) share the same gaming specification. Remember to enable Input Signal Plus for each HDMI port in the settings and to use an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, or it will not run.
M80H or M75H — which should I buy?
It depends on gaming. The M75H is native 50Hz with all three HDMI ports capped at 4K 60Hz, and its 43 and 50-inch sizes have no DLG at all; the M80H is native 100Hz with all three ports at 4K 144Hz, and steps up from the Mini LED Processor 4K to the NQ4 AI Gen2. At 65 inches the gap is HK$1,500. If you do not game, buy the M75H and put the difference towards a soundbar.
Is Neo QLED always better than Mini LED?
Not for gaming. At 65 inches the QN70H Neo QLED is officially listed at 50 Hz with a 4K 60 Hz HDMI high-frame-rate row and sells for HK$8,980, while the M80H does 4K 144 Hz at HK$7,980 — the cheaper set wins. When buying for gaming, ignore the range name and read the "HDMI (High Frame Rate)" row on the official specification sheet.
