The short answer
M80H is a Mini LED candidate for high-frame-rate gaming. Compare native refresh, accepted 4K input modes and VRR separately for the chosen size and region. A 144Hz mode, where supported, requires a compatible PC and suitable settings; do not assume every size has identical ports and modes.
PS5 and Xbox buyers should check 4K120, VRR and HDR compatibility; compatible PC144Hz is a separate requirement. Casual 60fps play does not automatically require this tier.
M80H versus M75H
This is the question we get most. Both are Mini LED; the difference concentrates in one place: gaming.

A counterintuitive finding: Neo QLED does not mean better for gaming
Range names do not settle gaming performance. Compare the same size and regional SKU's input modes before ranking Mini LED against Neo QLED.

A reference from another country or size does not establish the gaming limit of the supplied 65-inch model. Confirm the exact SKU before choosing a winner.
So when buying for gaming, ignore the range name and read the "HDMI (High Frame Rate)" row on the official specification sheet. "HDMI 2.1" printed on the box does not settle it either — that is an interface version, not a bandwidth guarantee.

Choosing between the four sizes

Those distances are the 40°–30° horizontal viewing angle band, the cinema-style immersive range; anywhere between is reasonable. Measure before choosing, and if you are torn between two sizes take the larger one.
What differs between the sizes
Check gaming modes separately for 55, 65, 75 and 85 inches. Mounting pattern, weight and stand dimensions also differ.

Note that the 75 and 85-inch use VESA 400 × 300 rather than the 200 × 200 of the 55 and 65-inch — do not buy the wrong bracket. The 85-inch panel alone is 28.5 kg, so wall mounting needs professional installation.
And in fairness on price: at 85 inches the QN70F Neo QLED sells for HK$15,980, HK$2,000 less than the M80H. If your 85-inch will not be used for gaming it is worth comparing — but their gaming specifications differ, so ask us to check the rows you care about before ordering.
Picture: what the extra HK$1,500 buys
Processor — the NQ4 AI Gen2 differs from the M75H's Mini LED Processor 4K. The reference lists 4K AI Upscaling and Auto HDR Remastering; the size of any visible improvement depends on the source, settings and exact model.
Real Depth Enhancer — processes subject and background separately so the subject reads as more three-dimensional. The M75H does not have it.
Color Booster Pro — a step above the M75H's Pure Spectrum Colour with Colour Booster.
Dark scenes — to be straight: the M80H is still a mid-range Mini LED, not a flagship, so bright objects in fully dark scenes still show some blooming. Real Depth Enhancer helps the impression but does not turn it into an OLED. For reference black, you want OLED.
HDR: confirm the full SKU's supported formats. Service, region, subscription, app, source and title determine which HDR format is available; HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are not interchangeable guarantees for every stream.
Gaming: what you actually have to switch on
Capability is not the same as being enabled out of the box. First three things after delivery:
- Confirm the complete SKU's input-mode table and which HDMI port supports your required resolution, frame rate, HDR and VRR combination.
- Follow that model's manual for enhanced HDMI input and Game Mode settings; menu names and conditions can vary.
- Use a cable rated for the intended signal. If the picture fails, check cable, port, source settings and device faults rather than assuming one cause.
DLG240 is not native 4K240. Check the supported signal resolution and displayed raster in the exact manual instead of assuming a universal half-resolution formula.
Sound: still budget for a soundbar
20W across two channels with OTS Lite, improved over the price class by Active Voice Amplifier (which lifts dialogue when the room is noisy) and Adaptive Sound+. Fine for news and drama; short of bass for films and gaming.
For Q-Symphony, check compatibility for both the television and Sound Bar. For lossless Atmos returned through the TV, confirm eARC and format passthrough; a compatible source connected directly to the Sound Bar is a separate route.
Sound Bars have a separate one-month store repair warranty; the television policy below is different.
Hong Kong reception, stated plainly
Hong Kong terrestrial broadcasts use DTMB. Confirm the supplied SKU's tuner and reception route; other regional differences may include apps, accessories and service.
For aerial viewing, confirm reception for the complete SKU, firmware and building signal conditions before ordering. Set-top boxes and streaming use separate routes.
If you already watch through a set-top box or streaming, none of this affects you — those routes do not depend on the set's tuner.
Warranty: what is and is not covered
TV warranty: three years of store-provided on-site inspection and repair labour, with parts quoted separately. Confirm removal and re-mounting arrangements before a repair; exchange eligibility follows the published policy.
It does not cover: parts (quoted first, work proceeds only after you confirm); accidental or user-caused damage (impact, drops, water, power faults, self-repair); and some outlying islands.
10-day exchange: for products with installation, the period runs from the day installation is completed; faults must be verified by our technician; you may change model when exchanging (paying or receiving the difference); reinstallation after an exchange is free; one claim per product. Normal marks from testing or installation do not affect eligibility.
Screen issues split into two: cracks, breakage or distorted display found on unboxing are a straight one-for-one replacement with no quantity threshold; LCD dead or bright pixels require five or more in total, verified by our technician.
On-site coverage: normal service on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories; Discovery Bay and Ma Wan are included; Cheung Chau and Lamma have no on-site service, but a set returned to our Kwun Tong premises is covered by the applicable store inspection and repair-labour terms, with parts quoted separately. - For non-gaming use, compare M75H and M80H processing features, room fit and current quotes; the high-refresh premium may not be useful to you.
- Dark-room film watchers wanting reference black — consider OLED
- Anyone with many devices — three HDMI ports go quickly with a set-top box, a console and a soundbar
- 85-inch buyers who do not game — the QN70F at the same size is HK$2,000 less and worth comparing
Frequently asked questions
Does the M80H really do 4K 144Hz for gaming?
Confirm 4K144 for the chosen size and port using the complete regional SKU manual. Where available it requires a compatible PC, graphics output, cable and enhanced input settings; console 4K120 is a different mode.
M80H or M75H — which should I buy?
Compare required game modes, room lighting, sound and current quotes. M75H may suit casual gaming if it accepts your signal; M80H's high-refresh modes should be confirmed for the complete SKU.
Is Neo QLED always better than Mini LED?
No range name guarantees a gaming winner. Check the exact size's input-mode table, VRR and HDR conditions; HDMI version alone does not guarantee bandwidth.
What does DLG 240Hz mean?
DLG is a different drive mode from native panel refresh. Confirm its input resolution, effective displayed raster and PC conditions; do not treat 240Hz as native 4K240 or add it to the 144Hz input figure.
What does the warranty cover?
Televisions have three years of store-provided inspection and repair labour, with parts quoted separately. Exchange eligibility and other conditions follow the published warranty policy.
